chinatour.app has no accounts, no sign-up, no comment system and no contact forms. We do not ask you for personal data, and we have no database of users to lose. The only data collection happens through analytics and through third parties such as booking platforms and ad networks, as described below.

What we collect directly

Nothing. There is no account to create, no newsletter to subscribe to, and no form on this site that transmits data to us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write — we keep that only as long as needed to reply and to fix whatever you reported.

Analytics

We use privacy-focused analytics to understand which guides are read and which are not. This tells us page views, referring sites, country, and general device type. It does not identify you personally, does not build a profile across other websites, and does not use tracking cookies.

Cookies

This site itself does not set tracking cookies. Third parties you reach through links on this site may set their own cookies once you arrive on their pages. Those cookies are governed by their privacy policies, not ours, and you can block them in your browser settings at any time.

Advertising

This site may display advertising in future. If it does, ad networks may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. How we handle this:

We write the recommendation first and add the link afterwards. A company cannot pay to be recommended, and no operator has paid for a mention in any of our guides.
Where we name tour operators and prices, it is because published rates were useful for comparison, not because of any commercial arrangement.
If a product is not worth buying, we say so, whether or not it pays a commission.

Following a link off this site takes you to someone else's website, with their own terms and privacy policy. We have no control over what they collect. This includes hotel booking platforms, eSIM providers, visa application centre websites, and the official Chinese consular portals we link to as sources.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence removed, ask and we will delete it.

This site is written for adults planning travel and is not directed at children.
